DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Lied Public Library on Saturday May 21st at 10am for a poetry workshop for all ages with Iowa’s Poet Laureate Debra Marquart. Debra Marquart is a Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University and Iowa’s Poet Laureate.  Debra will share some poems and explore different poetry styles. DESCRIPTION:Sounding Our Place: An Experiential Poetry Event \nJoin us at the Lied Publc Library for a special outdoor community concert Saturday May 21st at 2PM with singer song writer and poet Laureate Debra Marquart. Please bring lawn chairs. Concert is free and will be held inside the library in the event of rain. \nDebra Marquart’s work explores the relationship between the spoken word\, the literary arts\, storytelling\, and music.
